About Teks Shooting club

TEKS Shooting Club range is situated in Trichardt on the Bethal road (N17) approximately 1.5 km outside Trichardt. We have a membership of approximately 134 members from the surrounding areas which include Bethal, Evander, Kinross, Secunda and Trichardt.

TSC is affiliated to the Mpumalanga Practical Shooting Association (MPSA) which in turn is affiliated to the South African Practical Shooting Association (SAPSA) and International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).

Club shoots (IPSC) are held monthly, normally on the first Saturday and Sunday of the each month. All members interested get together at about 08:30 for registration and stage building and induction safety training for all new members who have not done it yet. The club shoot usually starts at about 09:00 and will last until about 16:00. The are normally a bring and braai after the shoot so members can learn to know each other.

The club affords members the opportunity to affiliate to MPSA and SAPSA, to participate in league shoots and competitions on National level. After affiliation a new member has to be qualified by a committee member first to participate in league shoot. New members can contact the chairman to arrange for qualification.

No new members will be allowed to take part in a league shoot unless qualified. The club also give members the opportunity to participate in silhouette shooting, steel challenges and clay pigeon shooting during the year.

As a result of the competitiveness of our club, Three members on the club received their national colours. Paul Loock, was selected to represent the National Production team at the World Shoot XVI in 2011, Rhodes Greece. Hendrik Engelbrecht was selected to represent the production senior team at the World Shoot XVIII, France. Jean and Hendrik Engelbrecht was selected represent the National Production Optic senior team at the World Shoot XIX, Thailand in 2022 where they achieved third place.
